Empowering Women to Vote
and Run for Elected Office.

As a socially driven outreach project, our goal for Free Ride To The Polls is to keep an up-to-date list of ride share options to support voter turnout and help voters get to and from the polls to vote.

We hope there will be more and more “get out the vote” free ride share options available alongside Carpool2Vote as we get closer to midterms!

We need American ingenuity and service to drive this and ensure all Americans have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

In service,

We hope there will be more and more “get out the vote” free ride share options available alongside Carpool2Vote that are 100% volunteer-driven as we get closer to midterms!

Carpool2Vote is a nonpartisan platform of Women Voters USA and was proudly developed in the USA!

Lyft “The Ride to Vote”: Over 15 million people cited transportation as their primary barrier to voting in the 2016 election — that’s why they’re introducing The Ride to Vote. Lyft will provide free and discounted rides to the Polls.

As provided on the Lyft Blog:

Across the country, we’ll give away 50% off promo codes with our partners that encourage voter turnout. We’re thrilled to be working with Vote.org, Nonprofit Vote, TurboVote and
more to help distribute codes to those who need them. We’ll also have a product integration to help passengers find their polling location. For under-served communities, we’ll provide rides free of cost through nonpartisan, nonprofit partners, including Voto Latino, local Urban League affiliates, and the National Federation of the Blind.”

Uber Drives The Vote

Uber Drives The Vote: Using Uber’s technology and resources, they can help make it easier for every Uber rider in the U.S. to get to their polling place at the push of a button. They are also partnering with nonprofit organizations to register voters before state deadlines and provide free rides to the polls on November 6.

Drive The Vote Online

How Drive The Vote works:

Voters send a text or register online to request a ride, and Drive the Vote connects them with a volunteer driver who picks them up and takes them to their polling place. Drive the Vote will be deployed in select swing races. If you live an area with a tight national race, are affiliated with a campaign organization or similar group, and are willing to devote significant time to organizing and training drivers and running a ride system, please contact hello@drive.vote.

Drive the Vote is produced by Ragtag. Learn more at Ragtag.org.

How Motivate Bikes works:

Free rides are available on November 6 in the Bay Area, Boston-metro, Chicago, Columbus, Jersey City, New York City, Portland, Minneapolis, and Washington D.C.-metro areas through local bike share apps. LEARN MORE
